A re-licensing course for operators who have held or already hold a Basic Forklift Operator Certificate which must not be older than 12 months.
The course contains a review of basic safety principles, calculations for more complex loads and the effect of attachments and lift heights on forklift capacity and stability.
Approx 4 hours theory and an assessment of practical abilities in a narrow aisle situation.

A Refresher Forklift Operator Competency Certificate in accordance with the Worksafe NZ approved "Code of Practice for training operators & instructors of powered industrial lift trucks (forklifts)", is awarded on satisfactory completion of this course.
NOTE: This certificate is not an authority to drive a forklift on a public road. Operators will need to complete NZQA Unit Std 18496: Demonstrate knowledge and skill for driving a forklift on a road for endorsement F (forklifts).
One day course for operators with some experience who have driven forklifts before, but have not previously completed a Worksafe NZ forklift training course if you haven't driven a forklift before you will need to do a Beginners Forklift course.
Theory consists of in depth theory on all aspects affecting capacity and stability, reasons for accidents and how to avoid them.
Approx 6 hours of theory and practical assessments of driving skills.
